Mining Engineering
About the Department:
Take the road less travelled for employment at graduation level! It is this recent trend in the choice of courses at B. Tech. level that has led to the initiation of Mining Engineering Department at ABRCET.
Here students are trained in sound fundamental theories in engineering backed by state-of-the- art laboratories which include Mineral Engineering lab, Mine Environmental Engineering Lab, Metallurgy Lab, Mining Geology Lab, Mine Surveying Lab and computational facilities.
The Department houses a well-furnished and spacious library with rich collection of books on Mining and other engineering subjects. It also subscribes to various magazines, journals, periodicals etc. for the students.
As mining engineers require an understanding of a number of aspects of other engineering disciplines like Civil, Electrical, Geological, Mechanical and Computer Engineering the department works collaboratively with the other departments.
Students are encouraged for internships in Bharat Coking coal Limited, Coal India Limited, Western Coal Fields, Eastern Coal Fields, Neyveli Lignite Corporation Limited and Singareni Collieries Company limited JIFSA Education & Technical Services Private Limited (chattisgarh) ,bharathi cement corporation private limited, Uranium corporation of India private limited

Head of Department – Message
Mr.SHAIK SAJJAR VALI, B.Tech, MBA, M.Tech
It is with great pleasure and pride that I welcome you to the Mining Engineering Department. As a field that plays a vital role in meeting the global demand for resources and contributing to economic growth, mining engineering is a discipline that continues to evolve with technological advancements, environmental considerations, and sustainability at its core.
Our department strives to provide world-class education, hands-on training, and research opportunities that equip our students with the skills and knowledge required to excel in the mining industry. We believe in fostering a collaborative and innovative environment that encourages learning, creativity, and critical thinking.
As the Head of Department, my goal is to ensure that our students not only acquire theoretical knowledge but also develop practical skills that make them well-prepared for the challenges and opportunities in the mining sector. We also prioritize safety, sustainability, and environmental stewardship, as these are fundamental to the long-term success of mining operations.
I encourage you to take full advantage of the resources and opportunities available within the department. Together, we will continue to advance the field of mining engineering and contribute to the development of a sustainable and resource-efficient future.
Wishing you all a successful and fulfilling academic journey!
