About the Department:

The Department of Humanities & Sciences at ABR Engineering College is a foundational pillar of the institution, encompassing disciplines such as Chemistry, Physics, Mathematics, and English. These disciplines play a crucial role in equipping students with a strong scientific and linguistic foundation, enabling them to excel in their respective engineering fields. Beyond core subjects, the department also integrates Yoga, NSS & Community Services, and Environmental Science, fostering holistic development and social responsibility among students. By instilling ethical values, optimizing human potential, and ensuring effective academic coordination, the department nurtures well-rounded individuals prepared for the challenges of the professional world.

As the Head of the Humanities & Sciences Department, we are committed to fostering a holistic and dynamic learning environment where students not only build a strong foundation in scientific knowledge but also cultivate critical thinking, effective communication, and aesthetic awareness through the exploration of various humanities disciplines.

Our department serves as a bridge between fundamental sciences and engineering applications, ensuring that students develop the analytical and problem-solving skills essential for their academic and professional journeys. Through a well-structured curriculum and engaging pedagogy, we aim to instill intellectual curiosity, ethical responsibility, and a multidisciplinary approach to learning. After Successful Completion of the program, the graduates will be able to

Engineering Knowledge: Apply the knowledge of mathematics, science, engineering fundamentals, and an engineering specialization to the solution of complex engineering problems.

PO2:

Problem Analysis: Identify, formulate, review research literature, and analyze complex engineering problems reaching substantiated conclusions using first principles of mathematics, natural sciences, and engineering sciences.

PO3:

Design/Development of Solutions: Design solutions for complex engineering problems and design system components or processes that meet the specified needs with appropriate consideration for the public health and safety, and the cultural, societal, and environmental considerations.

PO4:

Conduct Investigations of Complex Problems: Use research-based knowledge and research methods including design of experiments, analysis and interpretation of data, and synthesis of the information to provide valid conclusions.

Programme Specific Outcomes (PSOs):

After Successful completion of the program, the graduates will be able to

PSO1 Build Embedded Software and Digital Circuit Development platform for Robotics, Embedded Systems and Signal Processing Applications.
PSO2 Focus on the Application Specific Integrated Circuit (ASIC) Prototype designs, Virtual Instrumentation and System on Chip (SOC) designs.
PSO3 Make use of High Frequency Structure Simulator (HFSS) for modelling and evaluating the Patch and Smart Antennas for Wired and Wireless Communication Applications.
