Computer Science Engineering – AI

About the Department:

AI technology is important because it enables human capabilities viz. understanding, reasoning, planning, and perception, to be undertaken by software effectively, efficiently, and at low cost. AI has numerous, tangible use cases today that are enabling corporate revenue growth and cost savings in all industrial sectors.

Artificial Intelligence  UG program is primarily focused on applications of  impart intelligence in machines to solve non-deterministic problems which humans can solve with ease. If the natural intelligence of humans can be imparted to computers, then they can also make decisions like humans.

The main objective of AI  is to program computers, use datasets or knowledge to solve a given problem. Many successful applications based on machine learning include systems that analyse past sales data to predict customer behaviour to complete a task using minimum resources and extract knowledge from bio informatics information.

Future of AI

A new report by Grand View Research projects that the global artificial intelligence market will reach USD 390.9 billion by 2025. According to the forecast, the market will grow at a CAGR of 46.2% by the year 2025. Integrating artificial intelligence across various applications is a significant market driver.

The development of voice and image recognition contributes to the worldwide market’s growth, as they represent the most common applications of AI in our daily lives, being used in a variety of devices and for many purposes. Also, robotics, drones, and self-driving cars all need better image recognition technology.

“Machine intelligence is the last invention that humanity will ever need to make.”  — Nick Bostrom

Artificial intelligence (AI) is presently one of the hottest buzzwords in tech and with good reason. The last few years have seen several innovations and advancements that have previously been solely in the kingdom of science fiction slowly transform into reality. The department of CSE-AI is established in 2020 with faculty members of highly qualified and certified in emerging technologies.

It is powerfully committed to impart advanced and quality technical education through high standards at undergraduate level. The faculty and non-teaching staff of the department is dedicated to prepare our students by providing the expertise and proficiency in Artificial Intelligence, Machine Learning, Deep Learning and its related fields needed to succeed in our modern society.

The main objective of the Department is to offer an experiential learning opportunities such as hands-on training, project-based developments, exploration projects, and internships which deliver a solid foundation to work in interdisciplinary groups that invent the future and also the department covers a wide spectrum of research in the areas of Algorithms, Image Processing, Pattern Recognition, Machine Learning, Data Mining, Big-Data Analytics, Natural Language Processing and Computer Security led by skilled and experienced team of faculty members.

Students will be exposed to various multidisciplinary holistic development activities which will help them to develop Knowledge and skill as ethical professional.

This program is best suited for students looking to build world-class expertise in Artificial Intelligence  and emerging technologies which support to stand apart in the crowd and grow careers in the upcoming technological era.
